Hotel Ajanta - New DelhiI had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ajanta in New Delhi this past January and couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The service was exceptional from start to finish - friendly, attentive and the staff was always willing to help. The decor of the rooms and hotel was especially pleasant. The room was very comfortable, clean, warm and most importantly, quiet (Superior room 307). The on-site restaurant provided delicious food with a varied menu. Overall, Hotel Ajanta exceeded my expectations and I would gladly stay here again and recommend it to others. Special thanks to the outstanding staff.

Location is excellent, it is on a busy street with many shops and restaurants. Colonial Charm for sure!Staff is helpful, friendly. No request was denied(needed to change the room).Communication was excellent.

If you want to truly experience the vibe of Old Delhi, you must stay in a balcony room at Hotel Ajanta. The room is spacious, and the balcony provides a unique perspective of the bustling surroundings. If you look closely, you can even spot monkeys roaming along the nearby city skyline.The heating in the room was exceptionally comfortable. Although the bathroom is simple, the water pressure is excellent. Breakfast was delicious with a rotating menu—I had my first taste of real Masala Chai here and fell in love with it. The hotel restaurant seems to be one of the best in the area; though I didn't have time to dine in, it was packed with guests every time I passed by.

One tip: since the train station is nearby, the traffic can be heavy, so be sure to allow some extra time when arriving or heading out.

The staff was really polite. The hotel had a colonial charm. Breakfast was ok. Dinner was exceptional. Lot of tourists come for dinner at the restaurant. Serve local and western food.

The lift could only accommodate 3 slim people. The stairs are marble and slippery and steps are too steep at some places. The bathrooms need to be updated. The rooms were really cold in Dec/Jan. There are NO heaters in rooms

Excellent, service oriented welcoming staff. Hot shower was very good with plenty of gushing hot water. Breakfast was O.K.

I stayed in Premium Room #315. Towel hook was too high to reach and no towel rack close to the shower. Also the toiletries were of poor quality- 4 small cakes of terrible soap and two small bottles of sub standard shampoos.

Proximity to the visiting places and helpful staff. Restaurant food was great as well.

Overall .. it’s a good value for price offering comfortable rooms and decent amenities !! The staff are super friendly, courteous and helpful !!Also the hotel is close to Connaught Place and Karol Bagh and Jama Masjid !

The bed and pillows are comfortable. Breakfast was fine.

We were to be collected at the airport but had not been told who to look for, neither had the driver. It was 40 minutes and several calls with the desk clerk until we found each other. The front desk clerk was surly and unhelpful when we finally arrived. The room was noisy, outside noise and inside noise. The windows are covered with a black material so the only light in the room is from lighting. Yes, the room and building has the original colonial period architecture and furniture. But, the charm has gone. Everything felt old and shabby. For this experience the price to stay is much too high.

The staff was truly wonderful: always helpful, attentive, and committed to ensuring our needs were met. When we encountered cleanliness issues in one of the rooms, they promptly arranged a room change. Additionally, when we decided to check out a day early due to our dissatisfaction with the rooms, they offered a refund without hesitation. Their professionalism and responsiveness made a challenging situation much more manageable.

Our stay was disappointing due to several serious issues. We found cockroaches in one of the rooms, and bedsheets were stored on the corridor floor, which was unhygienic. Room service left food outside for hours, and the mattresses were old and dirty, making it very uncomfortable. While the staff was helpful and responsive these problems significantly affected our experience.
